Achieving a goal is like opening a combination lock. You need the correct numbers in the correct right, left, right sequence.

There are thousands of possible combinations; and if you are aware of the settings and not the sequence, your efforts will prove futile.

Clearly defined goals allow you to travel toward another horizon that represents the end of one experience and the transition to a new and better existence. 

The objective is to choose the right goals, and then to create the necessary causes—the effects will follow!

Follow these 3 simple coaching tips to help you keep your New Year Resolutions​​.

Tip # 1 Be specific. health tips,holistic healthInstead of vowing to “lose weight,” state that you want to lose five pounds by March 15. State your goal in incremental, measurable, specific terms. Be certain it’s clear, specific with defined steps that keep you going.

Tip # 2 Accentuate the positive. When you just say no, you’re reminding yourself of what you can’t have or can’t do. Instead of saying “no fatty foods,” say “nonfat milk and fruit for dessert.”

Tip # 3 Believe in yourself. Positive self-talk, affirmations and encouragement really do help. Even if you fail the first time, that doesn’t mean you’re doomed to failure. Be easy on yourself if you lapse. Change is often a two-steps-forward, one-step-back process.
